                             Island Park, Long Island 1999
On August 1, 1999, in a small parking lot in Island Park, New York, descendants of families from Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Astoria, Queens and East Harlem, NY who had since moved out and into various towns throughout Long Island counties, danced a Giglio for the first time ever on Long Island, New York. The one day celebration was truly a spectacular event and tremendous achievement given the numerous obstacles that appeared at every step along their quest.
