Anthony Casalino

This web site was the brainchild of Anthony Casalino, with the intent to promote the joy, love and tradition of the Giglio festival. The Dance of the Giglio has had such a profound influence on some many that it is woven into the fabric of our persona. It is best summed up by the term used to describe the addiction so many of us have for the feast - Giglio Junkies.

I enlist the help of everyone who come to this site to assist me in delivering the most accurate story, details, photos possible. If you have information or photo's regarding any of the Giglio Feasts and would like them included in this site, please feel free to contact myself at casalino_anthony@hotmail.com.

A very special 'Thank You' is extended to Tony De Nonno of De Nonno Productions, Inc for his boundless energy and tireless pursuit to promote and unite the Giglio feasts everywhere. His endless years of work on 'Heaven Touches Brooklyn in July' finally came to fruition in a masterpiece that will be cherished by us all for many years to come.

I also want to thank Tony for his monetary sponsorship as well as many contributions of pictures, facts and content in assisting me in creating this web site.

Another special 'Thank You' to Joe Rubino, who helped provide content and direction for this site. Joe is one of those rare and special people that is always willing to lend a helping hand. Joe and his family have been a constant and enduring part of the Brooklyn feast as well as a tremendous help with the Long Island Feast.

Brooklyn - 1959 - 'those most forgotten'

Lastly, a special 'Thank You' to those most forgotten, the mothers, wives and girlfriends of 'Giglio Junkies' who endure our need to spend countless days participating in this ritual. We thank you for your understanding and patience each year as we fulfill a deep burning desire that can not be rationalized.
